Announcing 2 new productions for our 2024/2025 theater season!
We are looking forward to more performance opportunities this coming year! After the success of our 2024 spring showcase, Prix Fixe: The Restaurant Plays, we will be hosting our next student showcase, Classic Six, this May at Theater for the New City. Classic Six is a series of short plays featuring one New York apartment through the decades. Beginning in the 1950’s, we will follow a variety of New York tenants through their time in a single apartment in 6 short comedies and dramas. Opens May 29th at the Theater for the New City.
Later this year we will be hosting a series of staged readings of a new play from emerging playwright Charlotte Smart. Charlotte Smart is the writer of Ad&Ned, from our 2022/2023 season. Her newest comedy Birds, Planes, and Other Things That Fly , dives into the early days of Television and takes us to a Hollywood studio lot for the making of a certain TV show about a certain superhero . We look forward to developing this play with her in anticipation of producing it’s premiere performance!
This season will create opportunities for our students to gain experience on stage, showcase their talent and build their resumes to take that next step in their careers. Stay tuned for updates about our upcoming productions!
